SUMMARY:Pizza Perfect
DESCRIPTION:Why Pizza?\n\nPizza\, arguably a favourite food of all students\, typically represents all four food groups identified by Canada’s Food Guide to Healthy Eating and is an excellent topic for a comprehensive study of agriculture\, nutrition\, food processing\, economics\, mathematics\, science\, arts\, and language – even careers. \nConsider that a simple pizza crust is made from grain\, cheese is a product of our dairy industry\, and meats and vegetables contribute to the wide variety of exciting toppings. These products are produced and transformed through several interesting processes which students are invited to explore. \nThe program has four components\, each representing a specific aspect of “pizza production”. Students will rotate through each of the following stations: \n\nDairy                    \nSoils and Vegetables                \nMeats\nGrains or Field Crops    \n\n\n  \n  \nIn-Person Pizza Perfect\n\n\n\nREGISTRATION NOW OPEN!\nThis FREE in-person one-day program allows students to learn about Ontario agriculture. Educational lessons will be based on language\, science\, technology\, math\, social studies\, and health/physical education!  \nChoose the date your class would prefer to attend:\nWednesday\, March 25\, 2026 – 9:30 am to 2:30 pm \nThursday\, March 26\, 2026 – 9:30 am to 2:30 pm \nTeachers are responsible for booking and funding their own bus transportation to and from the Grand River Raceway\, Elora. \nA pizza lunch is provided for all in-person attendees – students\, teachers\, and adult volunteers!\n\nREGISTER HERE!\n\n\n\n  \n  \nVirtual “Personal-Sized” Pizza Perfect\n\nOur FREE Virtual ‘Personal Sized’ Pizza Perfect is an online agriculture-awareness program designed specifically for grade 3 students in the Wellington and Waterloo school boards. The program includes hands-on activities and live demonstrations including milking a cow\, cheese making\, and transplanting seedlings. \nStudents participate virtually by watching a video (through YouTube) with a variety of leaders walking you through the activities all while providing great education throughout! There is no registration fee to have your class attend. \nThe program runs the week of Monday\, March 23 to 27\, 2026. \nActivities can be done throughout the week or in a day. \n\n  \nREGISTER HERE!
