Dedicate a tree to a loved one in Groves Memorial Forest
Behind Groves Memorial Community Hospital (GMCH) and along the path that leads to The Cataract Trail we are helping to continue the legacy of loved ones lost. GRAS prepared the soil for planting and donated the costs of landscaping and planting of the trees for the Groves Memorial Forest. This initiative will provide direct funding for vital equipment purchases at GMCH.
This Spring, the planting of the new forest will take place with a limited number of trees including dedicated plaques. With a $3,500 new donation, you’re not only helping fund vital equipment purchases at GMCH, but you will be given the opportunity to name a tree with a plaque to last the lifespan of the tree/plaque.
“The vision at Grand River Agricultural Society (GRAS) is to nourish people, animals, and the planet, and supporting the creation of this Memorial Forest is a commitment to both the people of our community and the environment,” shares Garth Green, GRAS President. “Supporting this project provides an opportunity for GMCH to grow both its fundraising and its green footprint!”
How you can grow a legacy…
- A tree can be named In Honour or In Memory of a loved one(s).
- A tree can be named after a family, person, or company.
- A tree can be named in celebration of a milestone occasion or accomplishment in your life or the life of a family member; such as: a graduation, wedding, special anniversary, or birth.
Your tree will continue to beautify the hospital grounds and provide a peaceful place for patients, families, visitors, staff, & physicians to enjoy shade & natural scenery. Your plaque will remind others of your loved one, your family milestone, and/or your generous support of health care.
With only 40 trees available, connect with Groves today to make your donation to build your or a loved one’s legacy today. If you’re interested in planting a memory at Groves Hospital, please fill out the pledge form or contact Lori Arsenault at 519-843-2010 ext. 47711.
